A LOVE STORY
I met the love of my life at my local grocery store (as you do). Five years and two kids later, I received a small jar of lavender bath salts from our friend’s daughter. Her mum, Liza, bought all the ingredients, encouraging Zyva to make her own gifts for her preschool carers. As our own daughter finished her first year of daycare, we decided to do the same. We made little jars of citrus and bergamot sugar scrubs – a small act of love by tiny hands for our friends and her carers. Some may call this child labour, but I digress.
Late last year, we made our first chocolates – European dark chocolate with double coconut chews and organic toasted coconut. People loved these so much that we had to make a second… then a third batch to keep up with the demand. It probably didn’t help that we kept on eating up all our stock! Because our friends are chocolate fiends and keep banging on about this chocolate, we’ve started our own little experiment – let’s call it ‘x’ – like a kiss. All items in this shop are made by us in limited editions. They can’t always travel far (sorry Borat) and will hopefully be consumed before they melt along with everyone else in this crazy Australian climate.
